Take turns marking the lowest empty circle in any column. Use a different symbol or color for each player. First to connect four in a row—across, up and down, or diagonally—wins. A full board with no four in a row is a draw.

Quick rules

How to use this sheet

  1. Choose different symbols or pencil colors for the two players, then decide who goes first.
  2. On your turn, choose any column that is not full and mark its lowest empty circle. Marks stack from the bottom up without gaps.
  3. After each turn, check for four of your marks in one continuous row: horizontal, vertical, or diagonal.
  4. The first player to connect four wins. If all 42 circles are filled and neither player has four in a row, the game is a draw.
